When HD8 Life met Daniel Baker Furniture

In autumn 2024, we visited the home of Daniel Baker Furniture in Barncliffe Mill, Shelley.
We chatted to Daniel about how his company has expanded over the 11 years its been at Barncliffe Mill, already moving units once to cope with additional projects and a growing workforce.
Daniel is a joinery whizz, taking on anything from manufacturing unique chopping boards for retailers way over the other side of the UK, to local large-scale projects tackling house refurbishments, including bespoke top-end equestrian tack rooms!
Daniel is passionate about local business breathing life back into the old industrial sites of HD8, just like Barncliffe Mill, and how wonderful it is to see these places reclaimed and reworked.
Daniel wanted to shout out Gate Foot Forge and @jcr_builders with whom he collaborates regularly, plus he wanted to give a big mention to the wide array of local businesses working out of Barncliffe Mill on Near Bank in Shelley.
