The 2026 HD8 Life Christmas Hamper: A Local Christmas Gift from HD8
There are less than 100 days until Christmas. Sorry.
But seeing as we’re now officially within the realms of being allowed to mention it, I thought it was time to launch the 2026 HD8 Life Christmas Hamper, which is now available to order.
I’ve been pulling this together over the last few months with a brilliant bunch of local businesses and makers, with the idea of creating one Christmas gift that puts money back into several independent HD8 businesses at the same time.
And we’ve managed to squeeze rather a lot into it.
What’s inside the 2026 HD8 Life Christmas Hamper?
Each hamper contains:
an Emley Mast tea towel
a bespoke HD8 candle
an HD8 Life Christmas bauble
a make-your-own cookies jar
oak smoked salt
a wooden HD8 Life coaster
reusable face wipes
a locally made card
a wooden keyring
and the wicker hamper itself
Bought separately, the contents have a combined value of more than £85.
The HD8 Life Christmas Hamper is £60, so there’s a saving of more than £25 compared with buying everything individually.
Eight local businesses in one hamper
The products have come from eight local independent businesses and makers:
One of the main reasons I wanted to put the hamper together was to keep a bit more Christmas spending here in HD8.
Buying one means you’re supporting a whole collection of local businesses in one go, which feels like a pretty good use of sixty quid to me.
One present... or several
You can, of course, give the whole hamper to one person as a rather lovely local Christmas present.
Or you can split it up between several people.
I promise I won’t tell a soul.
It could work particularly well if you’re buying for family, teachers, neighbours, colleagues or those people who are notoriously difficult to buy for. There’s a decent mix of useful, edible, festive and locally themed bits rather than ten variations of the same thing.
Only 15 hampers available
There are just 15 HD8 Life Christmas Hampers available for 2026.
They’ll be ready from November, with collection available or free local delivery within HD8.
If you’d like one, you can see the full details and order online here:
And yes, it is still September. Sorry again.
