HD8 Life CIC is a not-for-profit celebrating and supporting the brilliant businesses, makers, groups, events and creatives in the HD8 postcode area of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. From free promo content and collaborative reels to friendly workshops and community events, we’re here to help local businesses be seen, feel supported, and grow with confidence.

We work with sole traders, start-ups, small independents, community groups, and events - people doing amazing things, often on their own, and wearing a million hats - as well as bigger businesses and enterprises.

Our Story
HD8 Life was born in August 2024 from a simple but powerful idea: to celebrate and support the incredible businesses, events, creatives, and community champions across the HD8 postcode area of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire.

What began as a free local shoutout service on Instagram is evolving into a vibrant community platform for collaboration, creativity, and connection. Today, HD8 Life is all about helping local businesses, community initiatives, groups, events and things to do be discovered, be supported, and feel part of something bigger. We're proud to have become an officially incorporated Community Interest Company (CIC) on 9 June 2025 - furthering our ability to champion our community. Any and all profits are reinvested into our community work.

We know what it’s like to run a small business - wearing all the hats, spinning all the plates, and still showing up everyday with passion and purpose. That’s why everything we do is built around making marketing, netowrking and promotion easier and more accessible for sole traders, businesses, events, groups and local entrepreneurs.
